Did you know that the Honolulu Museum of Art hosts a Family Sunday each month? It's sponsored by Bank of Hawaii. "The museum opens its doors to the public, free of charge, on the third Sunday of every month. The day offers a program of art activities, entertainment and film focused on an exhibition or art principle." There are things to see and do for families and people of all ages: visit the galleries, do art hunts and other activities, see demonstrations, watch film screenings, and more. The monthly theme varies from one month to the next. Last Sunday, they had a robot theme with some real robots from a kids robotics program, "littlebits" that kids could build with, and robot themed art!
When is this FREE Family Sunday? It's the third Sunday of every month, 11am-5pm (activities stop at 3pm). Check it out and let me know what you think!
