If you've been following my blog for long, you'll know that we love books and audio books in this family! We recently picked up two Mrs. Piggle Wiggle books from a thrift store and my girls (ages 6 & 8) both loved them. We followed those books up with a search for audio books and found another two that we've been listening to during the last few days car trips. The audio books (found on Audible) were both well done and entertaining.
I should note that these books do contain some light name-calling and they do highlight bad habits or behavior since the premise is that Mrs. Piggle Wiggle helps neighborhood parents and their children to overcome these bad habits with her "cures". In two of these books, the cures are magical, while the first book's cures use tricks or tools to help the kids figure out new, better behavior choices. The stories are all indirectly about character traits and are silly, fun, and creative, and secular in nature. If you're looking for more stories to share with your kids or audio books to listen to, you might look into these ones! (Note: This is NOT a sponsored post/review. The books & audio books were purchased with our own funds, we've received no compensation of any kind to post about them, and there has been no request from anyone for me to review the materials. Instead, I just wanted to share a little about our experience and recommend something we like to others. I hope you all enjoy the books as we have! If you've read or listened to them, please feel free to share your thoughts in the comments below!)
