The Honolulu Symphony Orchestra is once again offering a FREE community concert on May 12th at 5pm in Kailua District Park! Sounds like a great opportunity for a live enhancement to any homeschool music/art program.
"Maestro Ken Lam will lead the Symphony through a gorgeous program filled with sweetness, love, and excitement! Bring a blanket, the family and some snacks – it’s a concert that is only possible in our beautiful home. Enjoy selections from Prokofiev’s Romeo & Juliet Suite, music from Sibelius and Brahms, as well as pieces like, Hawaiian Landscape, arranged by Elmer Bernstein & Randy Fong specifically for the Honolulu Symphony Orchestra. It is filled with sweeping emotion and cinematic turns – a treat that hasn’t been heard in many years! Maestro Ken Lam will conduct the orchestra for this special community concert."
