The Honolulu Symphony Orchestra is once again offering a FREE community concert on May 12th at 5pm in Kailua District Park! Sounds like a great opportunity for a live enhancement to any homeschool music/art program.
"Maestro Ken Lam will lead the Symphony through a gorgeous program filled with sweetness, love, and excitement! Bring a blanket, the family and some snacks – it’s a concert that is only possible in our beautiful home. Enjoy selections from Prokofiev’s Romeo & Juliet Suite, music from Sibelius and Brahms, as well as pieces like, Hawaiian Landscape, arranged by Elmer Bernstein & Randy Fong specifically for the Honolulu Symphony Orchestra. It is filled with sweeping emotion and cinematic turns – a treat that hasn’t been heard in many years! Maestro Ken Lam will conduct the orchestra for this special community concert." Woohoo! My Summer Camps & Programs - 2017 resource page is available now! There are a LOT of options and I'm sure more to be added as I receive more camp, class, workshop, and program information over the coming weeks, so after you mosey on over and take a peek at the plentiful options available, come on back every now and then to see what's been added (which will conveniently be marked as added or updated, along with the date changes were made, alongside the new/updated item). Oh, and in case you were wondering, NONE of the included programs/camps are sponsored here on my website or my Facebook pages. I do NOT receive any compensation for sharing about the programs on the Summer Camps & Programs resource page. I simply put it together in hopes it would be helpful to someone. It's not just for homeschoolers either! So if you like this list or other posts or pages on this site & my Facebook page, please do let me know! And even better, pass it on and share it with others so it might be beneficial to even more families. My reward for my time and effort spent on things like this is knowing that it was helpful and plenty of people were able to make use of it. So thank you for reading and thank you for sharing! Much love to you and yours! Here's the list! http://oahuhomeschoolmom.weebly.com/summer-camps--programs---2017.html P.S.
